Since we started our used stamp scheme at the beginning of 2007, we've raised around £1200 to help the cats in our care. Please keep saving your stamps for us.
Ideally stamps should be torn or cut from the envelope leaving AT LEAST half an inch of paper around the entire edge. Anything closer and the stamp loses its value when we send it on. Torn or disfigured stamps are of no use. If you work in a place that receives a lot of mail and you don't have time to remove the stamps from the envelopes, don't worry - give us the whole envelopes and we'll cut the stamps down to size. You can drop stamps off at any of our fund raising events, or mail them to:
Cats Protection Reading and District Branch
PO Box 7961

Please make sure you put adequate postage on the envelope, as we've had to pay an excess fee on some packages. Thank you.
We have an A4 sized poster about used stamps that you can display at work or church or a club etc. We can either email it to you for you to print, or we can send a copy through the post. Please call our Cat Helpline (0118 940 3005) or email volunteer@readinganddistrictcats.org if you would like a copy. Thanks to Roy Perestrelo, Paul Britt and everyone at Britt and Perry for designing the poster.
Jane Clarke is raising extra money for us by selling special interest stamps on eBay, so any unusual stamps are particularly welcome. UK commemorative issues have been selling well lately.
A huge thank you to John Wakeford, who organises the scheme for us, and to all our stamp snippers:
