Can you spare a little time to help the cats?

Volunteering for Cats Protection can take many forms. Some people are actually involved with "hands on" cat work while others provide administration support in various roles. Others work behind the scenes and their light only truly shines through at our Fund Raising events. Whatever you think you might be good at and would get you purring - we are sure we can find a slot for you.

Some of our existing vacancies are:

Recruitment Officer - someone to actually help us find more volunteers and also to handle enquiries when we receive them.

Cat Collectables - someone to take charge of our Cat Collectables stall at our Spring, Summer and Autumn Fayres. We’ll give you plenty of guidance, and show you how the stall runs. Our Fund Raising Officer would pass donated goods to you for storage, sorting and pricing. You bring the goods along to the Fayres, be in charge of setting up the stall, and man it (or woman it!) throughout the event, taking any unsold items home again with you to store for the next Fayre.

Fostering - looking after our cats until a good home is found for them. Cats Protection picks up all costs - you just provide the TLC and time.

We are a voluntary organisation and none of our volunteers are paid.

If you’re interested, please email us at volunteer@readinganddistrictcats.org or phone 0118 940 3005 and leave your details on our Cat Helpline.
